Aristotle compiled a labourious account of the animals known in his days with many accurate details of their anatomical structures, and after his death in 322 BC, a great medical school was found in Alexandra.Harvey started physiology on it true course by his discovery of the circulation of the blood through experiment on animals. Von Haller (1708-1777) and John Hunter (1928-93) intensified the developement of study of anatomy and physiology.
